YB European-style Box-type Substation (European Box Substation) is an integrated complete power distribution equipment integrating high-voltage incoming cabinet, transformer compartment and low-voltage outgoing cabinet. It is mainly matched with 6kV/10kV/11kV epoxy resin cast dry-type transformers and oil-immersed transformers, suitable for 50Hz medium-low voltage power transmission and transformation systems. Widely used in residential districts, commercial complexes, hospitals, schools, industrial parks, photovoltaic power stations, urban road side power distribution, underground pipe galleries, rail transit and other scenarios.

The product fully complies with GB/T 17467 high/low voltage prefabricated substation national standard, GB 1094 power transformer standard, IEC 61330 prefabricated substation international standard and GB 7251 low-voltage complete equipment standard. It features compact layout, fully enclosed protection, high safety, modular assembly, flexible configuration and small floor space. 1. Integrated Modular Design & Compact Structure

The whole station adopts three-compartment independent partition layout: high voltage chamber, transformer chamber and low voltage chamber, separated by metal fireproof partitions to avoid mutual interference between each unit. Each compartment is equipped with independent access doors, observation windows and ventilation heat dissipation channels. Compared with traditional outdoor power distribution rooms, it occupies only 1/4 of the land area, can be placed along roads, green belts and building exteriors, greatly saving construction land and civil engineering investment. All components are pre-installed and wired in factory, only high-low voltage cable connection is required on site, greatly shortening construction cycle.

2. Multi-layer Safety Protection & High Operation Reliability

High voltage unit:

Can be equipped with ring network switch, load break switch, vacuum circuit breaker, fuse combination appliance, with reliable earthing switch and visible breaking point to ensure maintenance safety;

Transformer compartment:

Equipped with forced air cooling system, temperature monitoring, smoke alarm, fire isolation and pressure relief device. If dry-type transformer is configured, oil leakage and explosion risks are completely eliminated; if oil-immersed transformer is equipped, oil collection tank and fireproof sand storage are reserved;

Low voltage unit:

Equipped with incoming switch, reactive power compensation cabinet, multiple outgoing loops, leakage protection, overcurrent and short-circuit protection. The whole box can reach IP30 outdoor protection grade, with rainproof, dustproof, anti-sunlight aging design, suitable for outdoor all-weather operation. High voltage chamber is equipped with mechanical interlock to prevent misoperation, effectively avoiding electric shock accidents.

3. Diversified Matching & Customized Configuration

Support flexible matching of 6kV/10kV/11kV high voltage level, transformer capacity range from 30kVA to 2500kVA, optional epoxy resin cast dry-type transformer or energy-saving oil-immersed transformer. High voltage side can realize ring network incoming, single incoming double outgoing and dual power supply switching schemes; low voltage side supports multi-loop outgoing, automatic reactive power compensation, metering cabinet, dual power ATS automatic switching, remote communication monitoring module and other customized functions. Box shell materials can be selected as galvanized steel plate, stainless steel, aluminum alloy or imitation stone decorative plate to coordinate with surrounding landscape.

4. Good Heat Dissipation, Low Noise & Environmental Friendly

Each compartment is equipped with natural ventilation louver and automatic temperature-controlled cooling fan, forming vertical air convection channel to effectively take away heat generated by transformer and switchgear. The matched low-loss energy-saving transformer effectively reduces operating noise, with overall noise ≤55dB at 1 meter. No oil leakage pollution risk when equipped with dry-type transformer; the whole station has no waste oil discharge, meets green building and low-carbon new energy project requirements. Surface adopts anti-corrosion spraying process, salt fog resistance, suitable for coastal, humid and dusty industrial areas.

5. Intelligent Monitoring & Convenient Operation and Maintenance

Standard equipped multi-point temperature detection, smoke sensing, over-temperature alarm and trip linkage function. Reserved RS485 communication interface, supporting remote uploading of high voltage switch state, transformer temperature, low voltage electrical parameters, fault alarm signals to intelligent power distribution background. Each compartment door is equipped with safety lock and maintenance indicator light; internal layout is clear, components are arranged regularly, daily maintenance only needs simple dust cleaning and parameter inspection, no complicated oil replacement and insulation testing work. The equipment failure rate is low, and the overall service life can reach more than 25 years.

Q1: What is the difference between European box substation and American box substation? Which one is more suitable for photovoltaic projects?

A: European box substation adopts three independent compartments of high voltage, transformer and low voltage, with strong safety isolation, flexible loop expansion, convenient later maintenance, and can be equipped with dry-type transformers, which is the mainstream choice for indoor and densely populated areas such as photovoltaic stations, data centers and hospitals. American box substation integrates transformer and switch into one tank body, small volume, low cost, mostly oil-immersed type, suitable for simple outdoor rural power distribution. For distributed and centralized photovoltaic power stations, European box substation with dry-type transformer is recommended for higher fire safety.

Q2: Can European box substation realize remote intelligent monitoring? What signals can be uploaded remotely?

A: Yes. We can be equipped with intelligent monitoring terminal as standard. Remotely upload signals including high voltage switch closing/opening state, transformer three-phase winding temperature, over-temperature alarm signal, smoke fire alarm, low voltage current, voltage, power factor, fault trip signal, supporting remote background real-time viewing and fault early warning.

Q3: Does European box substation have fire prevention measures?

A: Multiple fire protection designs are adopted: Each compartment is separated by fireproof partition board; transformer chamber is equipped with smoke detector and temperature linkage fan; if equipped with oil-immersed transformer, oil collection tank and fire sand box are reserved; dry-type transformer configuration completely eliminates flammable oil hidden danger; the whole box body is made of flame retardant metal material, which can effectively prevent fire spread.
