Huashi Type Box Substation (short for Huabian) is a professional prefabricated box substation specially customized for new energy power generation projects, including photovoltaic power stations and wind farms. It is an innovative integrated substation combining the compact advantages of American-type box substation and the standardized configuration advantages of European-type box substation, filling the professional demand gap for new energy boost power distribution scenarios.

The whole product is designed, manufactured and tested in strict accordance with IEC 60076, IEC 62271, IEC 61439 international standards. It integrates high-voltage switching system, new energy boost transformer, low-voltage distribution system and intelligent protection monitoring device. Adopting the unique structural design of external exposed radiator and independent open transformer compartment, it solves the heat dissipation pain point of traditional box substations in long-term full-load operation of new energy projects.

Consistent with the unified international bidding standard of our full series transformers, two efficiency and pricing grades are available: 0.0901 USD/W (Standard IEC Efficiency Model) and 0.102 USD/W (IEC Ultra-Low Loss Energy-Saving Model). The high-efficiency version is about 13.21% higher in unit price, more suitable for 24-hour continuous full-load operation of large-scale new energy power stations.

1. Unique Hybrid Structure, Integrating Advantages of European & American Types

Huabian adopts a differentiated innovative layout different from conventional European and American box substations: the high-voltage unit inherits the compact and highly sealed design of American-type equipment, saving floor space; the transformer compartment adopts open external heat dissipation structure, breaking the closed heat dissipation limitation of European box substations; the low-voltage unit retains the standardized modular layout of European-type equipment, with sufficient operation and maintenance space. 2. Open External Heat Dissipation, Super Strong Full-Load Adaptability

Different from fully enclosed traditional box substations, the transformer radiator of Huashi box substation is exposed outside the box body, with natural air convection heat dissipation without dead angle. It effectively solves the problems of high temperature rise and poor heat dissipation of closed box substations under long-term full-load and peak overload conditions of new energy power stations. It can stably operate in high-temperature, high-dust and open-air environments such as deserts, Gobi and mountainous wind farms for a long time.

Optimized electromagnetic design for new energy voltage fluctuation and harmonic characteristics, with strong overvoltage resistance and anti-harmonic interference capability. It supports 0.69kV low-voltage boost to 10kV/35kV grid-connected operation, matching the mainstream voltage grade configuration of global photovoltaic and wind power projects. The equipment has strong overload tolerance, which can cope with instantaneous power surge and intermittent power generation fluctuation of new energy units.

Built-in new energy special low-loss oil-immersed transformer, adopting 99.99% high-purity oxygen-free copper transposed winding and high-permeability oriented silicon steel core, all loss indicators comply with IEC 60076-10 standard test specifications:

  • 0.0901 USD/W Standard Model: Meets basic IEC efficiency standards, cost-effective, suitable for small and medium-sized distributed new energy projects;

  • 0.102 USD/W Ultra-Low Loss Model: Optimized no-load and load loss parameters, significantly reducing long-term power loss of power stations, ideal for large-scale centralized photovoltaic power stations and wind farm projects with long-term continuous operation.

5. Intelligent Protection & Remote Monitoring System

Equipped with new energy special integrated microcomputer protection device, supporting overload, short-circuit, overvoltage, undervoltage and fault locking protection. It realizes complete four-remote functions (remote measurement, remote signal, remote control, remote regulation), compatible with MODBUS and IEC61850 communication protocols. It can be connected to the remote centralized monitoring platform of new energy power stations to realize unattended intelligent operation.

The box body adopts thickened galvanized steel plate + multi-layer outdoor weather-resistant anti-corrosion coating, passing strict salt spray and aging tests.
